To mark our 66th season, the NCLBL Board invites all to our:
Annual Awards Banquet - Friday, Sept. 14th @ 5:30pm
Comeau Field, Rindge Avenue in North Cambridge
(Park at Russell Field or WR Grace lot behind Russell Field Complex)
After the awards ceremony, we will play our 21st annual charity softball game to support ALS research in memory of Jimmy Neil, a former parent of our program.
This year we are again hosting an outdoor picnic with activities for players. The event is devoted to recognizing those who have helped us achieve another successful season. In addition to the first place team from the regular season and the team winner of the double elimination play-off tournament receiving trophies, select players receive trophies for sportsmanship and skill improvement.
The outstanding volunteer of the year and fan of the year are also recognized.
Our nine major and minor league teams played a 15 game regular season and play-off tournament, participated in the Mayor’s Cup, and City All-Star Tournament. We also fielded All-Star teams in the summer Bay State Baseball League Program and provided an intra-league summer league baseball program. The Farm League program for 5-7 year olds continues to grow in popularity. Additionally, many of our graduating 12 years olds will be participating in the 13-15 year old Cambridge Babe Ruth program.
If you are one of our sponsors and can find time to join us for the Banquet, we guarantee you will have an enjoyable evening, better understand how your support makes a critical difference for Cambridge youth sports, and receive some heart-felt thanks from all of us.
Please email Peter McCann for more info > firstname.lastname@example.org
Dear NCLBL Families,
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SUMMER BASEBALL?
Once again, NCLBL will be offering intra-city summer baseball for minors and majors players ages 9-12!
This is a fun, informal league where our North kids can play alongside each other and on the same team.
HELP NEEDED AT MAYOR'S CUP!
Saturday, June 16 & Sunday, June 17 @ Comeau Field
The Mayor's Cup involves the first place major and minor league teams from the four divisions in the City of Cambridge. This year, North is hosting! Games are at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm on Saturday and 1:00pm and 3:30pm on Sunday. On Saturday, our North Minors play at 12 noon and North Majors play at 4pm.
To help NCLBL shine, we are seeking volunteers thru the weekend:
Setting up in the morning, breaking down at the end of the day, cooking, picking up ice, etc.
Volunteers are welcome for one hour or three!
If you can help, please email Becky Harmon email@example.com
Thanks, and please remember to reply to our survey!
NCLBL players, coaches, and parents will, once again, help place flags at the Cambridge Cemetery on Saturday - May 26, 2018 in observance of Memorial Day.
We will meet at Comeau Field parking lot at 9am. Please recruit coaches, players (in uniform) and parents from your team to help. This event will take about an hour and half and the Cambridge Veterans Dept. buys pizza and soda for the players afterwards. We need rides to and from the cemetery also. Thank you.
Picture Day(s) are Coming:
