Game Highlights

Tonight's game had a little bit of everything, good hitting, good defense and good pitching. The Giants came out on top, behind the combined pitching of Marcus Collins and Anthony Basa. Marcus was especially impressive, throwing three innings of hitless ball. The Giants offense was lead by Matthew McGaffigan 4-4, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI's, Marcus 2-4 with 4 RBI's, Trevor Daniliuk 1-2, with 2 walks and 3 runs scored and Anthony, who also helped his cause with a hit, and an RBI and a run scored.

The Dodgers bats were alive, too. They were led by rookie Peter Fulweiler, who was 2-2 with a single and a double. Maria Penrice, Harold Beckford (who also did a nice job on the mound), Alex Astesano and William McManus all had hits for the Dodgers, too. Actually, everyone on the Dodgers team put the ball in play at least once. As a team, the Dodgers were very impressive. They were losing 13-0 going into the fifth inning, but they never put their heads down or gave up. They scored 3 in the bottom of the 5th and added 4 more in the 6th. They certainly put a scare into the Giants players and coaches.

It was a great effort by both teams. Good luck to the Giants and the Dodgers in the play-offs.
