Game Highlights
| The Reds started off in the first inning picking up 2 runs to take a 2-0 lead when Dan Poirier led the rally with a double and advanced to third on a single by Sean Dillon. Dan and Sean then crossed the plate on a 2 RBI single by Daniel Gil. The Braves answered with a single by Thomas Clarke who was later caught stealing second base. Wisford Exilhomme followed with a solo home run into the swimming pool.
The Reds picked up two more in the third when Dan Poirier led off with a single, followed by another single by Sean Dillon. Both crossed the plate on a 2 RBI single by Nathan Chun. The Reds picked up another run in the fourth when Andre Gibson came home on a passed ball after reaching on a base hit single and stealing two bases. The Braves rallied in the bottom of the fourth to pick up four runs and tie the game at 5-5, picking up one run by Josh Camara on a passed ball followed by two runs scored by Chris Shimizu and Thomas Clarke on a base hit single by Wisford Exilhomme, who then crossed the plate when Liam Rose hit a base hit single. The Reds picked up another run in the 5th when Sean Dillon reached on a single and proceeded to swipe 3 bases, and another run in the 6th when Justin Gibson was walked, swiped two bases, then crossed home plate on a passed ball making the score 7-5. The Braves Threatened in the bottom of the 6th when Wisford Exilhomme drew a walk and then was advanced to second base when Nick Cronin was hit by a pitch. Wisford then crossed the plate on passed ball to make the score 7-6. Max Davidowitz was awared a two-out walk, then advance to second on a passed ball. With two outs the Braves were threatening to get more with runners on 2nd and 3rd, but Sean Dillon went to work on the batter and ended it on a strike out to clinch the win for the Reds. What a game. |
